FAQ
What type of footwear does Lenox produce?
Lenox produces safety footwear, military footwear, trekking shoes, and sports
shoes.
Where is this footwear made?
It is produced in Romania by Lenox, a company active in this field since 2005.
Lenox has a production capacity of 1,500 pairs per day.
What activities is safety footwear recommended for?
Safety
footwear is recommended for professionals working in environments with
risks of crushing or puncture—construction sites, manufacturing workshops,
warehouses and logistics, industrial maintenance, and any activity that
requires certified protection against heavy or sharp objects.
What activities is military footwear recommended for?
Military
footwear is ideal for personnel in the armed forces, gendarmerie, police,
and security guards.
Is military footwear also recommended for outdoor activities?
Yes, it’s very suitable for demanding outdoor activities such as hunting,
extreme hiking, or airsoft. These are designed for environments where
durability, stability, and traction on varied terrain are essential.
What do the standards (e.g., S1/S1P/S3, SRC) mean?
The standards indicate the level of protection.
·
S1:
safety toecap, antistatic properties, and heel energy absorption.
·
S1P:
adds a puncture-resistant midsole to S1.
·
S3:
the most comprehensive—includes all of the above plus water penetration
resistance.
·
SRC:
slip-resistance rating, ensuring the outsole has been tested for traction on
slippery surfaces (wet ceramic and oily steel) to prevent slip-and-fall
accidents.
Are they comfortable for daily wear on long shifts?
Footwear made by LENOX prioritizes comfort. Models feature
dual-density soles that absorb shock, ergonomic insoles that support the arch,
and breathable linings. These features reduce foot and back fatigue and keep
the footwear comfortable even after many hours of use.
What materials
are used for the uppers?
Full-grain leather, nubuck, water-repellent leather, and abrasion-resistant
technical textiles, depending on the model.
Is the
footwear breathable?
Yes. We use linings and technical materials (e.g., membranes) that wick away
perspiration and support thermoregulation.
How do I choose the right size?
Start with your usual size. It’s important to try, for example, boots with your
work sock and make sure you have enough room at the toes (about one finger) to
avoid pressure while walking.
How do I care for the footwear?
Clean off mud and dust regularly, use care products specific to the material
(leather cream, waterproofing spray), and let the footwear dry naturally, away
from direct heat sources.
